Morel Mushrooms Anyone??

Yes, we have morels and they are up. Been finding them for about a week now. My wife is the mushroom hunter in our family and has been finding a lot of the half-stems and not so many true morels. She has found some false morels too.

Just today I found about 6. I kneeled down to get them and when I got back up I had over 10 ticks on my pant leg.

Uh Oh! What are false Morels? Are they dangerous? How can you identify them? I've never heard of them.

We finally found some....in our yard!!

Went out into the woods a few days ago and didn't find anything. Then we go to the barn to feed the animals and find 8-9 that popped up along the treeline....go figure!

Someone locally found 284 morels (courtesy of our local paper) !!!!! I can dream....
