You should look for a small model with an automatic turner. I can't think of a good one off the top my head, except the one I've got, Brinsea Eco 20. It pretty much does everything for you, all you have to do is add a splash of water now and then to keep the humidity high enough and take it out of the turning cradle when you lock down.

Congrats on the tomato! Our plants are still tiny, but I'm looking forward the harvest already. Sun warm tomatoes right off the plants? Yum!

I won't get any more of them until next year-unless I can get them to grow over the winter in my greenhouse. And even then, I'll need to add a light source so that they get enough hours of daylight.

What's Pet Club? And, they let you buy just 3 chicks? Most places around here you have to buy at least 6. I know of only one place where they'll let you buy fewer than that. (Which is where I buy chicks if I want any.)

Petclubs like an animal feed depo place out here, some are super fancy and carry nothing but cat and dog food and some carry literally any critter that can be kept food. (That's the one we went to last night!) We were hoping for silver lace Wyandotte's since they had them, barred rocks and another one posted for available but they only had golden sex's and buff Orpington chicks.
That's weird! Most stores around where you live make you buy six?.? We were gonna get one, but figured we better get three so no chick was lonely and a j.I.c. matter :hide
Hope you don't mind I replied Twinnie (and denim deb)!!

Your okay twinsie :)
Most places where you can buy chicks out here will let you buy just one. If I knew that most people out here bought them for more than just "Awwwie how cute~" and then tried to get ride of them once they where no longer the cute puffballs that they are, I'd say that it was an awful ability to buy just the one. Their gonna get lonely so you should have two min. That way they'd have a Buddie.

Yep, they make you buy 6. There have been times I would have loved to have gotten a chick or 2 of a certain breed, but I don't need 6. The only place I know of that doesn't make you buy 6 is the feed store I normally go to.

Wow!! That's so weird!!! We have some weird zoneing things too though, so we can only keep max amount for so many feet, and they gotta be this far from your and neighboring residences etc etc in some areas can't even get them because of hoa's
