Ours is small too- only the one branch- and we've been banking with them for 12 years. We know their stories- breast cancer, promotions, kids getting married; they know our stories. Yesterday I was balancing the checkbook and found out a purchase DH had made was going to bounce us, so I called them and said I was on my way in to put enough money in to cover it (from my personal stash at home) and if something came in that would be NSF would they hold off putting it in until I got there or something. They had no trouble with that. Try getting that sort of service from one of the huge banks!

Well it turns out to be a good thing that the canceled check was messed up and not cancled. Turns out my refi company decided to keep the "may" payment I made with them as April's payment though the gentry I talked to said they shouldn't have accepted any payments after the 21st of april (the payment was accepted the 23rd or 25th) the lady I spoke about the checks to said she'd contact me back but I don't think I'm ever going to hear back from them as its been a week. So I'm going to suck it up and take it and not refi with this company when I refi in 5.

In other news I've almost completed my rabbitry stand, I've been working on a fur for my younger sister though I don't think I've done it right :'( the hide turned hard after I thought I'd completed it correctly so I'll have to spray it with water and try the final step again. Found a really good tutorial online that explains egg tanning much better (after I'd already completed the egg step of course) and how the fur should look after the "rolling" step. So now I know for my next fur! My plan is to get enough saved up/completed to make rabbit fur blankets for my family and a few friends of mine :love

Me and Twinnie have also started work on the front yard but it appears that we'll have to put a fence in before further work due to the boys from across the road having the inability to stay out of our front yard when playing :\
Then again if their dad would let them play in their front yard it probably wouldn't be an issue....

Any who off to bed for a short while gotta be to work early again.:frow

Well I've finally finished my rabbit cages for the time being, bred my two ladies last night for the first time. Milly my big black rabbit was rather hard to do as she is rather heavy and quite an armfull. My boys are on the top of the racks and the ladies on the bottom so they are easier to reach, so it was a bit harder for me with her since I need a step stool to reach her.
I've recently purchased a new bale of what should be timothy hay for my buns but I suspect I may have been given alfalfa as it smells sweeter and they don't seem too hot on it :hu
the feed store I got it from seems to be going through an alarming amount of workers I only recognize two people anymore and it makes me a bit sad cause I enjoyed my conversations with the folks I did know... But I suppose life goes on.

If it's alfalfa, it will be more stemy, and will have "dust". Plus, you'll see parts that look like clover.

I just realized I may have bit off more than I can chew. On top of breeding my rabbits last night I put eggs into the incubator a few days ago...

It seems to hold up better than the other stuff I've used, longer strands of grass and has retained its Greeness much longer than previous bales I've had. I honestly can't tell much difference other than that... I haven't really noticed much clover in it but it doesn't have the kind of long bulby grass like the stuff you buy in the small bags at the pet store has.

I'm not really familiar w/what you can get in a pet store. I get my hay from an auction and more often than not, don't even know what kind of hay I'm getting. But I recognize alfalfa. I can't get that because of my one pony.
