We let a few lady bugs go last night. They really liked the fresh water on the plants

So far so good! We just started using it this year. This is actually our first garden! Once we threw the paper mulch on there... things started to really take off! Since we have had so much heat and not enough water this year.. I think it has helped. (What a crazy time to be a first time gardener!! LOL)

Glad to see you made it over from TEG! ;)

And also glad to see I'm not the only one with "holy" beans, either! :/

For those of you that aren't on TEG.... I thought I would post these pics for you all to see. It's not much, but it's what we have for now.
I initially never thought of "naming" our garden, but, I posted a facebook msg to a dear friend back home in Ohio to tell her that we were "farmers" because she was a farmer herself, always had been. About 5 minutes after I posted on her page, another former classmate sent me a msg and told me that she had died that morning in a car crash. Thus... Ivy Hill was born. (Ivy was my husbands daughters name.)

Like I said... it's not a lot, but, it's more than what we had before! We're proud of our lil plot of earth! We also put in this year a mulberry bush, a male and female kiwi, 4 grapes and 5 raspberries (they died... but we bought 5 more that are now hardening off to be put in the ground in the next day or so), and we have 2 apples and a pear tree. They are all producing, even tho we put them in just 2 years ago!
