I'd like to find out how the completely home-designed & made systems - mentioned by SS members - actually worked out.

But what prompted me to find this dormant thread is that I ran across this company's web site, showing and describing their kits. They're offering rocket stove mass heater cores, which you can fashion your built-in stove around.

They claim top-notch design, materials, and fabrication in what they're selling.
