I've just had a question come up regarding the report button. When you click the report button and report a post, an e-mail is generated and the moderators who are on the 'report' list get an e-mail notifying them of the report. There is no way for anyone to know you hit that button, nor will any of us divulge who reports what. Rest assured we use that as a tool to help the forum run smoothly, it is necessary for you to tell us if something is offensive, or doesn't seem right, so we can fix it.

:thumbsup I rarely-to-never (mostly never) read the political threads, and am so glad for this new moritorium.

A heartfelt thanks. I was getting so darn tired of reading opinions that didn't jibe with mine. Stuff like that used to upset my outlook on life. Besides they get too may responses and it takes forever to read it and all those adds cone on the screen.

Sincerely Greg

That's too bad. I wish that those who couldn't play nice could have been locked out of the political threads.

I'm also surprised that while politics are not allowed, certain strongly held religious views are allowed to permeate threads and thread titles...

Well, I also have to say that, even though I did not participate in them, I am saddened by the fact that, recently, people could not behave themselves on the political threads.

I will admit that it did bother me when other threads got hijacked and turned into political sneers.

I have always admired the way political and religious discussions were handled reasonably maturely on this forum, and I am saddened that, because of a few, we all have to suffer.

But in light of recent posts, I fully understand that moderation had to do something. It's too bad that the offenders couldn't just be penalized, but I understand that it would still make moderation a tough job.
