Another fire small this time... Burnt a little carpet before sub woofer amp shut down. This is 12 ga copper speaker wire between sub woofer amp and 1 sub woofer it's supposed to be rated for high amperage.
Trying out some new gear... A 3200 watt mid and high 4 channel amplifer and 4000 watt monoblock sub woofer amplifer I have plenty of headroom now. I also went with new sub-woofers. Honestly the 3" voice coil sub-woofers I had before we're to sloppy for my liking, they would be great for someone who likes rap or techno but that's not me. So I went with 2" voice coils and dual spider sub-woofers. These are much more punchy, responsive and reproduce lower frequencies a heck of a lot more accurately than my 3" voice coil sub-woofers ever did.
New amplifiers, with lots of wires.
New sub-woofers
Son in law is coming over later this evening to help put the backseat back in. That'll give me time to tidy up some of the wiring.
Oooops another minor campfire. I guess I was sucking a little to much amperage. The 150 amp fuse burnt a little but didn't blow. A defective fuse no doubt, glad the amplifer is under warranty. The smell of burning electronics is nasty!
