Almost Self-Reliant
I have been on byc.com since early 2010, and never saw a link for ss - until someone pointed it out today. Woohoo - I can tell I am going to LOVE this forum.
I've been doing all of this stuff on my own, trial and error, and a lot of it has worked. But getting off the grid, that's going to be the hard part. I bought a book on alternative energy, it did tell me how to light my wood stove.
I have to go to work today, but i expect to do a LOT of reading, and maybe some of my trials and successes will help someone else. Self sufficiency, real self sufficiency, is hard work, but it is SO worth it.
