Lol yeah we usually have the goats go through an area first, then the pigs follow to root it all up. But neither of us is up for moving goat fencing right now!

One of my goats nearly hung herself when I walked her by the pig fence once, she was terrified and lost her mind and tried to bolt, got her leash snagged on something. She's gotten a little better but they like having a fence between them and the pigs!

Tigers? Your list is shorter than mine. I have a lot to worry about, for my chickens anyway. Only 2 things here would mess with my goats. Coyotes and bears. Found a spot the bears have been snacking on blackberries, 5 feet from my goat fence. I don't love that!
There is a rumor in Iran, tigers hang around here. And it sure is right! Saw one in the mountains this morning :th
Coyotes?

We had a coyote cross our back yard this week, close to the chicken run. No tigers here, thankfully!

Eek the coyotes here tend to stay away, so far. We have a male dog that marks the property, we shoot guns fairly regularly, and we have a street light in our yard so we're not very welcoming! Doesn't seem to bother the bears though I'm afraid.

Yeah. He was a little too close for comfort. Our pup died last month, and we haven't gotten a new one yet. We needed some time to grieve. And although we're all very proficient with firearms of all kinds, our property is a little too small to shoot here, although venomous snakes are fair game. This guy didn't slow down to even look at the chickens, but there's no telling how long he watched them from the woods at the back of the property. I'm not too concerned about coyotes though. The chicken run is surrounded by a 4' chain link fence, and covered by netting. There's much easier free food for the coyotes. We don't usually have to worry about bears here, though an occasional bobcat might be a threat. Snakes are usually a bigger concern, but we're pretty diligent about patrolling the property and keeping the grass low, and limiting places for them to nest.

Our neighbors shoot for two reasons. One, to sight in their muzzleloader before the season starts, and two, when the coyotes get too close! We shoot whenever we want and no one complains, actually pretty much every day we hear someone shooting nearby.

So, you all remember our turkey poult who we thought would die because his neck wouldn't straighten up? Here he is! Sorry about the coloring, it's so bright out he looks like he's more pale than he really is. We introduced him and the other young one (a hen) to our adult chocolate (hence the dog crate in there) and zero issues. I LOVE this breed! Our friend introduced our old hen to a younger tom and she nearly killed him. This is our breed for sure.

I have been wearing sweatpants and a fleece all day. It's cold! Supposed to get down to 62 on Friday, 39 Friday night! Apparently we forgot it's August up here!

Haven't done much today. DH didn't have to work and we're all kind of being lazy. I HATE it! Relaxing is boring! I did make some amazing blueberry muffins though.
