Oh no! You had a trick baby! Those are the kind that fool you into having more babies! :gig. DS10 was a trick baby. DS2 was...... (can I say hell?). Oh man, I don't want to think about it.

I held my babies a lot. My saying is when you have a baby, you drop out of the land of the living for 2 years. The first 2 years are so intensive, that's about all you get to do. I hold our 1 year old grand daughter when she takes naps.....when she wakes up I RUN for the bathroom! LOL

My mom held DD for naps when she babysat her. I got so mad at her, lol. I used naptime to do dishes and things, holding a baby for an hour plus did not work for me! I did usually manage to get her to sleep in her crib though.

I won't drop out for 2 years. One maybe.

DH is working on the barn until the weather gets too bad (which will likely be soon). His annoying unhelpful friend is here again. Being unhelpful. Sigh.

I wish I would have been able to 'drop out' for two years! Unfortunately, I had other responsibilities in the land of the living that kept me from doing that! Mighta been nice...:hu

Yea - my first kid was NOT a sleeper. Rocked that kid asleep for the first six months of his life. Later we had one of those wind up swings. They lasted for about 10 minutes before you had to wind them again... and that's how I slept for the next six months...on the floor...beside the swing...for 10 minutes at a time... ugh.

Unhelpful friend says he'll come tomorrow and help DH stand up the walls and get them attached to each other. So DH had to add a section on to one side, since it was shorter than the others and he'll be ready for him to help. Then on to the roof, and he thinks we can have goats in the open "loafing" area side by the end of the week! Looks like it'll be 14'x14', exterior measurements until we put on an addition in the spring. Yay!

Tuesday is chicken butchering, then might have to squeeze the pig in there if she doesn't sell. I guess DH doesn't have time to work this week, lol! But, then only one or two little projects left before winter. Outside, that is. We have winter house projects pending, of course. Sigh.

Awesome that he's making such progress! Of course, we will bug you for pics when it's up...or even when it's in progress. The size oughta work for ya...at least until you get about a dozen babies, lol! Does Clifford have a separate bedroom or is he bunking with the bred does?

Yeah it's big enough for now... Lol. I also have two outbuildings plus a hoop coop in their fence so they will have plenty of places to hang out while the kids are growing, once it gets a little warmer.

Cliff will live with them until shortly before first kids are possible (end of February or so). I might keep a kid wether to be his pasture buddy (once they grow up a little, obviously) and that'll give me another year to find a 50/50 mini alpine. That way I won't have to buy another buck this year. DH doesn't want 3 bucks so I have to be picky about who my second one is!!

Two walls are up! Too dark to take pictures, I'll try to get some tomorrow.
