Holy cannoli....38 is waaaay too cold to be in the water, lol. I'm guessing they were wearing wetsuits or something like that? Glad DD had a good time, it's cool to watch them see the ocean for the first time! Hope ya had a good seafood dinner while you were there! How's your back?

None of the seafood places were open! But yes, the crazies were wearing wetsuits lol! And I had a steak tip wrap and a salad, not too bad. My back is killing me, and I slept horribly last night so I am exhausted. I am staying home tomorrow. All day! And I'll probably go to bed when DD does!

OH man....all that way and no seafood. but, a steak tip wrap sounds pretty good too. I'm about ready for anything besides turkey and ham right now. Early bed sounds good to me...sleep ALWAYS sounds good to me, lol!

Sorry to hear about your back :hugs A long soak in a hot tub/bath may help some, if you have one. Hot water is always my first go-to for aches and pains.

We always see people swimming in the ocean here when we make it down to the coast. One year we were in the bay down at Bantry when an old man went into the water, no wet suit, and started swimming. It was freezing out that morning and I was concerned about him, so we stuck around as long as we could. Just sort of keeping an eye on him for awhile to make sure he's o.k. It was so cold out of the water, I can imagine being in it...

If it helps, the water is normally several degrees warmer than the air. In fact, it keeps the air temps 5-10 degrees warmer than surrounds, in my area. There comes a time when the water temps do lower and become way too cold for me to even walk into voluntarily! Swim? no way.

Ahhh, NH -- I will never tell your DH how little goat milk it takes for the soap. You buy all he will allow! LOL The soaps are easy to make and very nice to use. Mine lather beautifully, clean very well & leave skin nicely smooth & soft.

I know, the first time I made soap I was shocked at how little milk I needed! I need to make more, I still have milk in the freezer from last year when I dewormed Lilly, that I need to make some soap with. It's just hard to do the whole lye process in a house with a 5 year old, when I'm pregnant! So I haven't gotten around to it.

The ocean up here is freezing even in the summer, I went swimming once in the ocean in Florida and was amazed I could feel my toes after 10 minutes, lol.

My back feels better today. I kept being woken up by the dogs last night though. Who needs a newborn, I have brat dogs! I find myself thinking more and more... Outside only dogs would be awful nice!

SNOWING??? Really? Dang...I can't do that stuff. Better you than me. I had 27 @ 6AM, then upper 50s by noonish. SO, I was able to bush hog the LAST field here......for the winter. YEAH! My little deer herd will be sad, as they liked to bed in the over tall grass. I say -- use the woods!!!

A turkey baked while I mowed. 20# so I gave 1/2 to DD. She stopped on way home to get a hot dinner. She lives at the back of my farm...no biggie.
