[Mini Horses]

So -- is a "Kinder starter Kit" new sales product?? Kinda like the grocery stores 2fer & 3fers....need at least 2 goats & 3 would be better! (goat math enabler!!)

How did the crock pot rendering go?

Journals? Each has their own view. I like to read & know I'm not the only one working, enabling, cooking, suffering, wishing and all those things.

Ugghh I overcooked it so I ended up burning it. I had no idea what I was doing so I'm mixing the burned lard type mixture with venison and whatever else I feed the dogs. I was not very happy with myself!

My husband is not keen on adding more goats and he can currently pick up all of our goats if he needs to so full size goats are not in our near future. Our biggest goat as of right now is 92 lbs. I don't totally know what he is. Any guesses?

Nigerian and... Something. He's stocky like a meat goat.

We call him captain turd-bucket. He is so sweet but he's also stubborn and kind of a pain in the rear end. He thinks he's a buck, he spills his water with his foot on purpose if he's mad at me, he's got attitude. But he's also sweet (he pretends to hate attention but loves pats if you downplay it) and he protects our buckling. We put them together when we got Storm, who was 10 weeks old and teeny and I was so nervous. But Wendall sleeps in the doorway of their house at night to protect him. I have threatened to eat him when he gets naughty and I swear he changes his attitude.

I do wish I knew what he was. I bought him for$50 as a Nigerian... My first goat. I don't even know how old he is!

He is probably high percentage Nigi, but with a little mystery goat thrown in there for good measure, lol. Hope he behaves himself, but he looks like he'd taste good if he doesn't, lol!

I know it! My husband loves him and won't agree to eat him. He's a giant hay consuming useless wether. Once I get my new buckling, Wendall won't even have a companion job! If we ate him I could get another doe... Hello husband! Goat meat and more milk! Lol

He says no, he likes him and he'll eat any of the other goats but not him. He is only attached to our wether and our retired herd queen. Our only goats that aren't productive. But at least he said I can get another doe anyway lol!

I love his color....AND we do get attached to some!! If DH can get attached to your "worthless wether" he may be attached to more in the future -- all does He has promise, the DH!


And why do you say he has no job? If he protects the young buckling, he will protect more young'uns! And he will train them in some things -- hopefully not dumping water -- besides the bucks often have to move on due to retaining daughters. He can train the next new buckling......geesh. Don't tell me you actually count them.

Haha well I intend to keep my bucks here. I will not retain daughters as a general rule. Except I have one doe I want a daughter from. I plan to sell the doelings and primarily raise bucklings for meat, except I'll probably try to sell a few pure Nigie bucklings as breeders. I will replace my does as they retire with does from other farms. I will never make good money with goats, they're all going to be here forever lol!

But yes, I have one doe he is also attached to. The biggest problem is my antisocial Nigies that only like me and hide from him. How about being friendly guys?
