Oh my grumpy husband. He is NOT working this much next week because I will kill him. He's off to his day job after working all night again, but doesn't have to work tonight. I told him he needs to tell his boss at the skiway he is not working every night next week. It's not gonna work. Fortunately his boss is just thankful he's working at all. Oh, and he's supposed to work overnights all weekend. Right. Something's gotta give and it's not the cash paying day job that never requires him to work after 3 and could possibly turn into a year round full time job. Grrr vent over.

Got down to - 2 last night. Outside water froze (didn't help DH's mood). Oh and my Nigerian won't go in the barn at night. I had to go get her and one of the minis (low in the pecking order) last night. But she hid in one of the outbuildings and DH had to literally chase her out and into the barn. So obnoxious. The barn is perfectly big enough for her to hide from the herd queen, especially at night when they all go to bed anyway!

Oh he totally has a good excuse! But it's unpleasant lol

Just went out to check on everyone. Everyone had frozen water (since DH watered them around 7 am, ugh) except the goats! That means my barn is at least kinda warm! Lol

My Nigerian looks like she's freezing. I think I might get some beet pulp for the goats and soak it in hot water to help them out a little. I'm sure they're fine but they're spoiled goats!

Missing chickens still missing. I quit on them. Everyone else looks good despite the awful cold.

But, at least my pipes didn't freeze!

DH is home tonight, going back at 4pm tomorrow to make snow overnight. They asked him to make snow Sunday night as well but he's coming home so he can sleep and go back to roofing Monday, thank goodness!

Goat needed minor persuading to go in tonight but no chasing required.

My goal this weekend is to get the chickens moved, and they'll be all set for the winter. Just have to move the Dom roo and his gang over to where the Dorking hen and White Orpingtons are (love all of these birds, they won't even fight, I'm sure of it) then put the Cornishes where the Dom was and move their run over (they will NOT free range, they're so unfriendly!) Maybe work on the turkey pen if we have time.

Still waiting on that darn pig!!!

Goodness, your DH must be running on batteries, I swear. I'd be killing someone if I had to go on so little sleep.

How are you two doing? (You and baby)

He slept for 14 hours last night, lol! He is in a MUCH better mood now!

We're good, I'm starting to slow down a little though. Getting tired. Plodding through the snow is not fun either!

It'll be interesting moving all the chickens today, catching the Cornish roo is going to be a real treat!

Yay for sleep! I know he's gotta be feeling better....sleep deprivation is REAL and no fun at all. Hope the chicken catching goes well- and that the Cornish roo behaves himself!
