Wouldn't that be great! I want a screen house. My season is long enough - I need protection from the bugs

So, how long is your season?

We haven't had major bug issues so far. I hope it stays that way!

I guess if I had the energy I could have something growing pretty much year round. My broccoli and cabbages survived the hard freezes we had with just a nice layer of hay to protect them. Our hard freezes are rare and not long lasting. Our biggest issue this year was the never-ending water. Most of my stuff in tubs and raised beds did well.... anything in the ground suffered.

The only bug we really have that's almost invincible is the stink bug. An occasional squash vine borer - but not too much or too often.

Glad you don't have bug issues! Guess all that cold is good for something!

Sorta jealous that you can grow year round... But honestly, I don't enjoy gardening enough, it's nice to have an excuse to take time off lol! Although it might be more enjoyable if you didn't have to do one giant garden all summer like we have to do.

DD2 had her 2 Month checkup and shots today. She's gained 5 lbs, Holy moly! She's cuddled up and napping now I hate shots! No fever though at least.

I didn't make my fall garden a big deal, lol. My biggest success was broccoli and turnips. Most of the turnips went to the critters cuz they were tart, lol. I could do more and I should because fall/winter gardening here is so much more pleasant as far as weather extremes. It's so much more pleasant to pull a few weeds when the temps are 40ish rather than 104!

Yay on gaining 5 lbs! I hated shots for my kiddos too - they inevitably got cranky. But, sleeping afterwards is a good thing!

We went grocery shopping after and she fell asleep in the carrier. But when we got home she was CRANKY! Ate and passed out. Hope she sleeps tonight!

Tomorrow DD1 has class, then we're going to my FIL's house to see the new car and get paperwork in order!! Still needs to go to get tires, he just got home from Florida himself.
