I think we will enjoy them! they're cute little things! And they can be incredibly friendly (or incredibly flighty if you get the wrong ones, lol). I read they are not good sheep to train an inexperienced herding dog because they gang up on him lol!
School, well I'm pretty flexible right now. I try to do math 4 days a week. She reads non-stop on her own, I mean hours a day, so I'm not doing much reading instruction. For science we're currently just reading about the ocean and animals that live there, then after we go to the aquarium we'll do something a little more structured. I'm trying to really not do work for the sake of doing work. And I don't legally have to tell anyone I'm homeschooling until next year, so I report to no one! Lol
Well the Guernseys are back to gaining weight, if my scale is to be trusted. Their eyelids are about the same but Lucy looks spunkier. They both do actually. And Lucy actually didn't get clumpy when I dewormed them for once. Red Cell today, next week round two of cydectin and shortly after another round of toltrazuril. Then we'll see what the fecals look like. Fingers crossed!
We got a free golf cart! It's awesome, both girls, the feed and I will all fit! Won't help much in winter though!
Got our pellets today. We will be warm this winter, regardless of how bad it is.
Yay for the GG's!
Yay for the golfcart! We had one when my kiddos were little. They enjoyed that thing for years and it was a pretty good little feed hauler as long as it was dry outside and the batteries were charged!
And Yay for pellets. Big step towards being ready for ya'lls winter.
Lol no cows here! I'm actually kind of afraid of cows. Horses I'm ok with, cows not so much.
We had to move the wethers into their own pen last night. I wanted to get them away from Clifford before butchering anyway, but last night he was beating the snot out of one of them. Brat. I don't love rut season!
Golf cart runs, DH did some tinkering and we got to drive it around last night! Yay!
Hoping to get some hay today, DH helped a friend load 200 bales in his barn last night and now we need some. I think I'll be ok with 100 square bales (won't get that many today, but that's what I'll need eventually), then we'll get some rounds for the pigs.
Well, DH is not thrilled but DD1 wants to learn how to ride a horse and he won't let anyone else teach her so... one of these days we're going to end up with a pony (or two) I think. DH likes to pretend he hates horses but he loves them as much as anyone I know! Lol
