Nope, but DH and DD1 have been. She loves it.
Cold snap should be over shortly. I hate February. Every year I just get depressed, but at least I know spring will be here soon! Monday and Tuesday will be warm enough to butcher so we will get both meat pigs and the wether done. Then we can move Charlotte to where the meat pigs are and Stanley in with the gilt.
Also will be warm enough for the sap to run but we'll probably miss this round, can't get everything ready in time!

YAY for butchering. That's a lot for one weekend. Will DH get any help from any of the people he's always helping?

One of the pigs we are raising for a friend so he'd better help! He's been buying grain, we've been taking care of them. Actually he's been feeding all our pigs this winter, lol. It's going to be nice to have those pigs gone but I have enjoyed not paying for grain! The meat pigs aren't huge so it won't be too bad of a job. We'll grind most of ours for sausage. I think he wants to roast his.

Looks like butchering will likely be Tuesday. DH has help available Tuesday anyway. I'm eager to get rid of 3 mouths lol. We won't have many animals out there for a while! 2 sheep, a goat, 3 pigs and 7 chickens. We're like almost not farmers lol. But then Patty will kid, and hopefully Charlotte will farrow, and we'll get meat birds and someone will go broody... By summer it'll be a crazy place again!
