there's a big nasty storm coming after your 40's. We're due to get the storm tomorrow. and then plunge back into twenty-below. Not sure the warm snap was worth it.

Ya I know! (on both comments lol)

It's raining here right now, but it's going to be one of those weird nights where it actually get warmer all night long, so the only freezing rain issue is for people on the roads right now.

One forecast for my area says: +8, +8, -14, -14 (C) and rain then snow during that time

I'm really trying to remember why we delayed our moving plans! Lol! It's not so terrible now but I do have issues with seasonal depression... Not even depression really... Seasonal malaise? Periods of severely missing sunlight, and general displeasure with the walls in my house, lol.

I feel ya on that - we haven't seen much sunshine lately... I dunno if my mood is from lack of sunlight or all the other crud in my life! But, everything feels better with a dollop of sunshine!

Yea - and go ahead and get that move in the works!

Ah yes NH, sometimes I don't notice it until the sun comes out...just happened this week actually. Sunny day and all of a sudden I felt on top of the world! When things start to grow in the spring I get that feeling too. Luckily we have maple syrup in March to somewhat ease those winter blues. But January and February are the deep dark months.

I'm sure you and your little one will be busting out of the house for lots of outdoor time come spring.

Yep February is the worst month of the year. I loathe February. I always say at least it did us a favor by being the shortest month!

Yes it's actually perfect timing, she'll be a good age come spring! My goal this spring is to get my step-dad here with his tractor and relocate the kid toys (giant sandbox, play structure, etc) to the backyard near the garden, and then DH and I will fence it off. Then the kids will have an area that's theirs. Plus I can watch the 2 of them and the 2 dogs more easily if they're all in a fence!

Other goal this year- my mom has a bunch of hostas she needs to divide so DH and I need to make a spot for them. And she has some lilies we can have also. We've been here 5 years and we've been so busy with the farm aspect of things, we haven't done much to make it look decent around here. DD wants a flower garden, DH is all "grow food, not lawns" and thinks it's a waste of effort when I could grow something edible. Lucky me, he works a lot and I can plant whatever DD and I want! Lol!!
