First pour from the keg, tastes like grapefruit and tangerine. A little kettle magic with hops in this one or as Germans call it "3 gifts" actually 4 if you count the 5.1% ABV alcohol kick. It's so easy drinking that it goes down fast, but creeps up on you.
This beer has mellowed considerably in the 7 weeks since pitching the yeast. Now the grapefruit and tangerine flavors are hardly noticable in the background. But the malt character is now in the foreground. What a delightful beer it has become. I'm not sure if I liked it better when it was younger or now that it's matured some. Either way, it still could be considered a gateway drug for non-beer lovers.
