I used to fix lots of stuff on it all by myself. It was so easy! Plus it was fun to fill up the bed with all kinds of goodies, from hay to furniture finds etc. Sadly it ATE the gas and wasn't very reliable to commute into the big city on a daily basis.

So I got a '05 Honda Civic instead. Not a bad ride, reliable and economical all that good stuff. Cleans up well if I need it to.

The problem: Headlight is out. With my old Cheyenne, I just unplugged the bulb and stuck another one in...simple.

Well, OMG!!!! :barnie I can't even get near the headlight in this dumb car!! (AND I was out there for 30 minutes trying to open the hood!! Turns out the latch doesn't just push up to open, you have to "rotate" it...:barnie )

Finally with the hood open, a new light bulb in hand, I try to unplug the bulb. NOPE, nothing's that easy in this car. The light bulb is SCREWED in with two screws. On top of that, I can't get my hand in between the innards of the hood and the light bulb socket, let alone a screw driver. Are you kidding me????

I guess I already know the answer, but you can't help a girl for asking, "Do I need to take it to a mechanic?" Please, someone, tell me "no". :fl

Don't quote me on this but I BELIEVE the front bumper cover has to come off so you can remove the headlight assembly, THEN you change the bulb. :D

My BIL and his friend couldn't get theirs off so they had to take it in..

That said, I'm not sure how smart or able my BIL and his friend are when they get together, they might have been drunk, so that's not saying much..

After messing with it for an hour, I want to get drunk! :barnie

I am reading that I have to move the washer fluid clip to get near the low beam light bulb. I've been out there fiddling with it and I'm ready to push the car over a cliff. :/

My neighbor Mr. Ben is on his way. He fixes everything...wish us luck!

Directions say to: Lift and unhook from the clip steering fluid reservoir.

It seems as though the reservior is not going to budge. Should I try harder?

Just kidding.

You know if they gave me just one inch more in room, I would have had it done ages ago. I found a way to sneak my hands behind and around stuff, I just need a tad bit more room to unscrew the bulb. I found out btw that I dont need to unscrew the screws. That really helped.

That windshield reservoir wont budge, so I gave up on that idea.

And now my pretty, white utility gloves are all smudgie. :(
