Seriously, there's only 1/2 a blueberry muffin left this morning. My kiddos dug in and tucked the muffins in their mouths this morning.

we can now head toward spring! whoot! that is... after 3 solid months of permafrost and the frozen tundra

Wow, you got 3 months of that coming on your side of Ohio??? Sometimes if we're lucky, we get spring early.....like end of February beginning of March...

Yep....but we have the looongest month ever coming up....January January is the only month that ever feels like it's a year long!

BUT .....this year I bet it's gonna go fast because I have like-minded friends who live close and I'm sure we can find plenty of trouble to get into.....

after all, auction is year round!

LOL and I always think of February as the "short" month because it has less days LOL

But, leap year always throws me off kilter!

SHH! I have a plan....

Lets eliminate the entire month of January ... including all of the yucky weather that goes with it! I have it all figured out. If you have a birthday, anniversary or other significant date that usually occurs in January you can pick which date that special day will move to. You have a choice of February 29 or 30 EITHER ONE! The leap year will still occur every 4 years with the addition of February 31 AND that will also be the year that we "fall back" for standard time during the winter to keep those stupid people happy as well.

We can work this out I am sure! With all of the talent on this forum, surely someone will know the proper procedures to take.

i'm with you FF! no one needs january that is for SURE! i slipped and fell in a heap on the ice this morning.. grumble grumble grumble. luckily for me i was rescued by the dog. yep i've had it with the stupid snow

so the good news is that our drake, DJ made it thru the nite on the ice! i was so relieved when i went out and there he was. i was sure he was gonna be a gonner. we are going to scoot him in early tonite. whew!!!!

watch? yes. chase around the pond in the snow.. not so much. but we got everyone in and now all is well.

we got a SMOKIN' hot fire going in the wood burning stove, gonna make nachos for supper... whoot! are you kidding?!? i LOVE a snow day!*

as i was falling - in slow mo of course - my life didnt flash before my eyes.. but all i could think of was....

"DANG! we just changed from our fancy-COBRA insurance to 'catastrophic only' insurance! DANG!"

luckily a couple wet dog kisses and wet barn clothes were all that i got. i kinda clicked my teeth hard but i'm UP!



definitely lets get rid of this stupid WINTER. and to think for about 10 mins i actually thought about moving to alaska...... whew! dodged that bullet!

What is it with people and Alaska??? E talked about doing this exact thing off and on all year....I'm serious....he was totally being mental!
