i have to say i'm newly in love with my stove top espresso maker - one of those Bialetti thingies:

other than that. we are freezing our tuckases off. baby its COLD

but the pup is so cute i cant stand it.

Hey that thingy looks like a great Christmas present for DH! He gave me a list of small stuff he wants. It would be great to throw in a total surprise for him!
Ugh, burned the bacon this morning. Phooey!

I wondered how good that espresso makes was - I may have to tell Santa I need one. How does it compare to French Press? I love my FP, but it's tiny and not so convenient when I have company.

its funny, java, b/c i go back in forth between a french press, this little one, and a regular old (small single serving) coffee maker.

i HATED this little stove top jobby the first couple times i used it - then someone else made a cuppa with it .....and i was sold.

the only thing i dont like is that you have to put it on a burner and the foot print only takes up a small portion of the heating element.. so its kinda scary and i stand there an watch it so i dont burn the house down. but then.... all of a sudden whoosh! its done.

and it makes me feel very fancy. i have small "demi tasse" cups from some of my fav boutique coffee houses and i sit here with Little Mo and pretend i'm back in Paris having un cafe avec a petit pot de creme

....with roosters standing out there screaming about how bad the service is and SOMEONE had better get their winter gear on and get out there.

dang. someone always has to ruin the fantasy.

Yes, I did and yes it is! Home from work with sick boy and had time to make bacon and I burned it! It is still edible but I don't like it. I will crumble it and use it for something else.
