Ditto LOL. Football is boring. It's fun in person though. I just cannot get into any sport that isn't enough of a dance without either actually playing it or watching it in person.

The distance of tv loses most of the good.

pssst -- got a little LOTR marathon at AL's house. I heart Samwise Gamgee!!!
Frodo might have carried the ring but Samwise carried the ring and Frodo. Samwise is the real hero.

Sam: [Both are overcome by exhaustion] Do you remember the Shire, Mr. Frodo? It'll be spring soon. And the orchards will be in blossom. And the birds will be nesting in the hazel thicket. And they'll be sowing the summer barley in the lower fields... and eating the first of the strawberries with cream. Do you remember the taste of strawberries?
Frodo: No, Sam. I can't recall the taste of food... nor the sound of water... nor the touch of grass. I'm... naked in the dark, with nothing, no veil... between me... and the wheel of fire! I can see him... with my waking eyes!
Sam: Then let us be rid of it... once and for all! Come on, Mr. Frodo. I can't carry it for you... but I can carry you!

I've never been a big football fan. I suppose I might be more interested in the Super Bowl if it was the Vikings, but mainly only because my mother is so interested in them I'd have to watch or get beaned in the head, even long distance. I suppose I'd be more interested in football if they all played the game bare ass naked :D I mean, really. Anyone can put on padding, and cleats, and like five layers of clothing and run around on a field (and I almost spelled that with two feeld, whats up with that?) but it takes a true hero to run around on that field buckass naked :D

I always thought Frodo was a bit of a whiner. I love the story, loved the movies, but still. And Sam was cute, what with the whole slow and methodical but comes through when needed, and he's just cute :D I never was interested in the elf, I don't know what people saw in Orlando  :smack

Congrats to all the packer fans btw! I had to work, but I heard they won.

I preferred to stack our firewood to watching the football game, even though it was in the 80's out there today. I got a good workout and now I am too sore to sleep.

I read the Sunday paper and watched the commercials. They weren't any good this year and what's up with all the doofusses they get to sing the National Anthem? You'd think if a gazillion people were going to be watching me sing I'd have enough sense to learn the words. :he
