Well, DH just got introduced to OFG! I had several of the same reactions as everyone else, such as "popcorn chicken" and "juicy" pants and WHAT the HECK WAS she doing there????

We get free horse manure from one lady at our TSC. (I mean real horse manure, not the kind you get from some people).

Guilty also! I had one girl as a student years ago. I am quite proud that I tutored her on her multiplication tables and otherwise in math and she can run a cash register but still has enough math sense to count back change properly. The one I think of as the head cashier knows I'm not going to give her my phone number so she puts in her mother's without asking. She asks about the goats and how much milk we're getting and last time wanted to know how much maple syrup we ended up with this season.
THen there's DH and the dump. The guys who work there know him so well that they'll pull things he may need for his various projects and save them for him. They know he's a musician and have saved at least two instruments that he sold on Ebay for several hundreds of dollars.

Folk here sell theirs. Our soil is clay and EVERYONE who gardens wants manure.
