Maybe she went over to discuss the hay issue with the neighbor.......should we go see how it is going? Looks over the fence, doesn't see OFG anywhere around, but I do notice that the AX is missing............
*glenolam peeks her head over the fence too and sees that there's movement over by old neighbor's tractor....*

* OFG and TBM roar into the drive with a truck full of fencing equipment ......and a bad mood after spending $300 at TSC*

oh hey guys! we went to town after chores and got all the fencing stuff we need. not only are we gonna get the new pig area finished, but we'll just put some well placed heavy duty metal posts up by the crazy Old Man Neighbor so if he "helps" again he'll ruin his tractor. we'll run the fence up there also.

i wanted to fence the front of the property anyway so this was just the last straw.

in other news i've employed a live and let live attitude.... thats fine that he mowed down the hay. i'm gonna send the guineas on recon assignments to drive them crazy. they are currently positioned under the Old Man Neighbor's window scream their fool heads off. ha!

then

when the Good Neighbors come back i'm gonna ask them for the 3 ton pile of cow poop they got - and i'm gonna put it right on the fence line of the Old Man Neighbor....and let it stank all summer long. see? live. let live. whatever. everyone's happy.

and b/c he doesnt like to see weeds i'm gonna plant those 5 ft tall thistles all along the line so we dont have to see their house.

Gleno and SD dont just stand there - grab some tposts and follow me!

:)

gleno cautiously comes out from behind the fence, hands together behind her back, head down

Ummm...OK. Yes, Ma'am.

Just as long as you don't put that pile o poo near my house. I've got my own cows.

Personally, I'd plant Golden Giant Amaranth. It grows 6 feet high, is an item you and the birds can eat (leaves and seeds). Plus looks like weeds to those not in the know.

SD follows OFG to the post line, snickering, dropping seeds of himalayan blackberry from her pocket all along the fence line on the neighbor's side. Edible landscaping, right?

Yup, FC, wouldn't it be helpful to round up all the skunks around here? I hate to see them. That would help. We could let them go right about....oh....here.....points at the neighbor's barn.

ha! SD thats so funny 2 days ago i had to call the dogs back b/c we all smelled skunk! auauahghgh!

not really payback FC.... (but kinda) just "aggressive defense" with fence...and mean shrubbery. possibly osage orange if i can find it.

and every other shrub i can find that looks like a weed. thanks Kel - Amaranth is on the list! i've always planted dozens of those 12 ft tall sunflowers.

;-)

i dont know what it is about this part of the country - all the yards look like putting greens with a house dropped on it. we wanted to live out here so we wouldnt have to be around people!

and i know that old man looks in our windows - from their hill he can see into my kitchen. harumph!

back at it....

Too bad you can't find them pigz heads. One of those on a stake would send a great message :D

Now this might not work for you, but the other day I was daydreaming that I would love to go to Goodwill, buy up all the undies and bras and hang them in the neighbor's bushes. I really should put my mind to better use :p
