I read a recipe in an old book once about making "haying water". Anyone ever heard of this. The women would take water to the men in the hay field and it had vinegar and honey and I can't remember what else in it, but it was supposed to be a thirst quencher and an electrolyte restorer. Pretty smart, those oldsters!
