Oh, seriously GOOD corner store! :D (actually the farm is almost closer than my "corner store")
That's awesome!

My corner store is in the next town over. :/ The dairy itself is about 1 1/2 hours away! So I can't complain...its not a bad drive though, nice views.

Would be so much better to just go outside and milk that fat sheep I have. Getting a new piglet has put that on hold for the moment.

Yea raw milk!!

BBH,

that's so weird, I too live in WA state, and here we can't buy fresh milk in any store there are lots of dairys in the area and Iam not sure if you can buy from them, but I don't know anyone who does.

When I was a kid(many moons ago) my mom would buy whole milk in glass gallon jars from a lady, but she had to advertise it as "pet food".

I wonder if it is governed county to county hmmmmmm.

The name of the dairy is Dungeness Valley Creamery, and they are located in Sequim. The corner store I'm talking about is in Bremerton of all places. Kinda a quaint blue collar town. I don't know why you can't get raw milk unless they just don't want go through the hassle and take on the liability. :hu

I know that Dungeness V. C. has been heavily scrutinized but they stand behind what they believe in.

I know you can get it in the farmer's market too in Bellingham...hennypenny9 used to get it there. But I'm not sure which dairy provides it. Oh, you can also get it on Bainbridge Island.

Go to RealMilk.com (I think, or is it rawmilk? someone please correct me! my brain isn't working at the moment) and they will give you a list of who sells it.

To answer an earlier question: "Yes there is more in store on the raw milk issue in Canada. Moves to standardize the cow share services, practices and protocols across the country are on the horizon."

That is why the US and Canadian Alliances for Raw Milk have come together.
