A good healthy recipe for plain ol' onion dip that I use is-
I drain some plain yogurt for about 2 or 3 hours and then I add a heaping tablespoon of Mrs. Dash onion blend to about 1 1/2 cups drained yogurt and since we can have salt in my household I do add a bit of fine ground sea salt to taste-I figure that I am still getting less salt that way than anything you find in the store.
I have also used caramelized onions in drained yogurt and they make the best dip--just let them cool completely before adding to the yogurt.(guess who was in a hurry one day and didn't? what a mess!)
