When I was traveling through Germany, in my youth, Gulaschsuppe was a standard on the menus of many of the cheaper eateries I frequented. I learned to really like it - hot, filling, with a nice amount of spice to it. DH prefers it as a stew, without the added potatoes or carrots - just meat, onions, spices - over Spaetzle or other noodles. He has never developed a great liking for American style beef stew, but he will ask me to make a big pot of Gulasch, and then is happy to eat from it for as long as it lasts (and this is a man who has severe problems with the mere notion of "leftovers" Gulasch, pea soup, and his macaroni casserole "without cheese", are just about the only things I can consider serving again on the second day)moolie said:Sounds like a yummy week ahead for you
I've copied your Curried Chicken Salad and will also try your Goulash Soup, I've made Goulash with noodles before but never thought of taking that flavour combo into soup!
