We are pretty excited about the chickens! I haven't really eaten a lot of chicken eggs not from the store so I am very interested in the difference from store bought...I've heard a lot of bad things about store bought eggs.

Stephanie if you private message me and you are not too far I have a few chickens I need to weed out of my flock that are not Heritage RIR. I think collecting eggs for hatching/breeding program will be easier if they are the only ones that lay brown eggs. Until now I have only kept them for eggs to eat and to keep the rooster from overdoing the few Heritage hens I had.

My partner in the program hatched 4 Kittles for me and will be setting some Nelson eggs for me in two weeks. I will be needing to cull out the others.
