New here.. from Nova Scotia, came via the backyardherds and backyardchickens sites..

We have dogs, cats, parakeet, tamworth pigs, heritage turkeys and chickens, african grey geese, muscovy ducks, boer goats and various sheep. Highland cattle are coming in the spring and hope to become more self sufficient with our fod at least bit by bit... hard to do with full time jobs and a full farm but we are trying.

Sounds like ya'll have a full croft! how are the Tamworths? I read about them when researching pig breeds but wasn't sure I would go for them or not

love the tams... way nicer than the berks, more fat... more taste. Mommy pig was extra sweet to let us sit with her for her first little 2 months back and even the boar in the next pen is a good boy for the most part (except when he's having a randy moment then needs a bit of a tap behind the ears)
