Thanks Diane, I'll have to take a look at that.

Bee, the only outside building I have is my hubby's shed. And, I can just imagine what he'd say if I put the chicks in there!
 Then I'd be tellin' dear hubby to build me something to keep those birds in! :D Give him an ultimatum...build or they go in your shed... :D
That's why the nuggets are STILL in the house! I've been wanting to get them outside for a couple of weeks now. They don't really have enough room where they are and are old enough to be outside. But, I still don't have my chicken area set up at the farm. He complains about them being in the house, but there's not a thing I can do until the area is done.

Morel, I like that idea. I'll have to see what I can come up with.

after 3 weeks mine had to leave the bathroom, the dust was killing me.
i built a temp. hen house out of scrap lumber & put it out in the woodshed.
i ran a cord out there so they could have a heatlamp & they were just fine.

good luck

I'm thinking of making something like a dog house w/a lid that's hinged on one side and have it attached to a run. I'll be working on it next Saturday and will hopefully have it done by Tuesday! Other than something for the floor, I think I have enough scraps of wood to make it.
