:barnie Now I remember why I did NOT want a dog and it has only been ONE night!!! The dog was shining and barking at 5:30 this morning! I was going to get up to shut my bedroom door so I could not hear it but when I rolled over it was already closed!! So, I yelled at him to be quiet....then 13 and 11 yo got up let him out of his cage and you could just hear them talking for like 15 minutes!!!!!! I got back up and yelled at them to put the dog away and go back to bed!! I am so NOT a morning person!! Can you tell?? Then first thing this morning, 9AM, DD woke up saying "Can we let the dog out?" about a million times!! Then all I heard was 4 kiddos (6 yo stayed the night at my mom's last night) saying the dogs name over and over and then running and racing threw the house!! Sigh!! By the time I got my breakfast and he was up in my face 20 times while I was trying to eat I had had enough and he is now back in his crate!!! Saturday, Saturday, Saturday....it is only two days away and then he goes back home!!! And I can have my nice calm house back again!!

I have a million things running threw my head this morning! I love the idea of sitting out to the end of my mom's driveway and selling my eggs! They are going for $2 around here but, I think I am going to ask $2.50 or $2.25 a dozen. I also think I will try selling some of my peeps and pullets the same way. Selling my peeps for $2-$3 each and pullets for no less than $8. I saw on Craiglist that someone wanted $5 each for mutt roosters so I should have no problem getting $8 for my Pure BJGs.
I was also thinking of having a back sale when I sell my eggs. Just keeping it small like 4 or 5 loaves of banana bread at $5 each. So, I could sell 5 loaves of BB at $5 each that is $25 and 5 dozen eggs a week at $2.50 that would be another $12.50. So, nearly $40 a weekend....plus peeps and pullets. I think I will try it for a month when my chickens are laying good and see how it goes.

I think we are going to buy another incubator tomorrow. I have 3 dozen BJG eggs in our 'bator now and someone is sending me quail eggs in the mail. My 'bator is pretty full right now and the quail eggs will not keep until Jan 27 or later when my BJG are supposed to hatch. Plus I want to hatch a bunch more this spring and summer so I can have both 'bators going at the same time. Or loan one of them out for friends to hatch while I hatch other eggs. I am hoping that if I can hatch some quail that I can sell them for $3 each to local hunters for dog training....also at the end of my mom's driveway.

My goodness is *He* trying to tell you something today Pam??
Well, He is telling me that I do NOT need a dog that is for sure!!!

I was telling my BFF about all of my plans and she was like Oh My how are you going to do all that with the baby coming? I reminded her that I am already the mom of 5 kiddos what is one more to add to the mix along with all of my projects! And if I didn't have to be resting I would be sewing right now!

My house is starting to look a little cleaner! I swear a tornado came threw last night!!! The house was a MESS this morning!! The last time it was cleaned was Tuesday morning so with going to the OB's yesterday (the kiddos were at grandma's) morning coming home for just a couple of hours, eating, and then heading straight off to the church the kids did not have anytime to clean up. I told them that if they wanted the dog loose then they had to get the house cleaned so the dog would not chew everything up.

I am not a dog lover either. I love them when they are really little and cute...but then they hit the terrible twos stage (around 6 months for a dog) and I am DONE with them. We have dogs...Dh brings them throught the 2's and then I am okay with them as long as they keep their distance heehee!
