Peacock I think is dark and dry. They used to be served cooked, with the pelt draped over them and properly posed for medieval feasts. I'd try one, and use the feathers like some Maori tribes do with the feathers of birds of paradise: decorations. :D

Yay, he was back last night. He roosted waaay up in a huge old tree out front so we should see him again today. DH got home last night so he got to see him, too. He took some pics with the camera so maybe tonight he can figure out how to post a pic here.

Foolish bird sure came to me when he saw me throwing bread pieces, but had no clue what to do with the oatmeal. He just walked off. But we had fun just watching him.

Ah, it's the simple things in life...
