Lol, actually the very same was on my wrap-around-deck the night before!!!! I took the pic of him/her the next day after on the hill, 20 meters to the right of the cabin!!! Lol, we just don't wander around in the dark or leave food outside!!

We keep hearing reports of black bears moving down from Northern Wisconsin and two years ago one to the south and a bit west in Illinois. DH insists they are honing in on my blueberry planting. I don't think I could live in harmony with such large visitors.

Of course when I was younger, we didn't have hawks, eagles, coyotes, buzzards, and wolves around here either. Them I can work with. . . . so far.

While I haven't seen them, there have been many reports of black bears in this area.
