looking like a possible mess here this weekend, but not ice. 7 inches of snow and some wind. not anything i worry too much about. i'd much rather shovel snow than deal with the ice like we had last week.

i'm not sure if Mom will be out driving in it as i hope she plans on coming back before it starts up.

Ice is a pain. Last winter we had the winter of slop. We would get snow then rain then snow and more rain. Just a mess.

Its snowing pretty good out and the wind is howling got to get bundled up and go out to feed the animals then make a pass on the road with the plow. Going to be a long day.

Last winter was a tough one b/c of those patterns. When the snow finally melted, there was a 7" thick ice pack underneath that took FOREVER to melt. As the ice softened, I'd bust up the edges and flip them onto the bare lawn area,

So a little update on today's weather town aka st. John's is under a state of emergency many people dont have power. Here in the boonies aka God's country we still have power. Lots of snow wind is crazy cant see your hand in front of your face. Snow drifts are the hight of me. They are saying on the radio we will have over 90cm before it's over.

Turkey just came out of the oven. Fire is roaring in the woodstove. Watching movies on Netflix solar system is fully charged so all is good.

On a lighter note someone wrote a song about today's weather

The sun will be up I about an hour then the work begins. There is a I foot snow drift out side our door. I cant see the chicken coop or the turkeys coop so they are well buried. While there is a big drift between our door and the barn there is no snow buildup by the barn so at least that wont need to be shoveled. I wonder if I can find the snowblower in all of this? Not that it will be very helpful with 9-10 foot high drifts lol. Once the winds die off it will be great sliding conditions for the kids.
