Pork Steak recipes please. (Bacon photo on page 2)

That's so German. My dh Grandfather has this favorite meal my mil makes sounds like almost the same thing. I had never had sauerkraut with mash potatoes before. But it was wonderful.

So do the think the pig God's will drop another at your door this year??

I got some pork steaks back from the butcher. (And by the way, my pig weighed 417 lbs!!! So tons of bacon! I think I see OFG out in my bushes!)

I just want to know if it is cut from the pork but b/c I see some recipes on line for that. And do you have any recipes to share?

we LOVE the steaks the best - just grill them up on the BBQ with salt and pepper.

FD - my hubby is a big fan of sauerkraut and pork esp with mashed taters. yum!!!

I love 'em with sauerkraut.

You brown them in a pan. Grease a baking dish with whatever you like, put sauerkraut in it, add your pork steaks(chops or whatever) cover and bake for about 1 hour. You can add bacon to the sauerkraut and sprinkle paprika on top. Serve with mashed potatoes and applesauce.
If your sauerkraut is too dry, you can add a bit of white wine. It enhances the flavor of sauerkraut anyway.

Totally this. Or if you will be out all day, pop 'em in the crock pot with onions and a can of cranberry sauce--kinda turns into pulled pork you can eat on buns/rolls by dinnertime.

Okay, you have piqued hubby's interest. I think he wants me to get a pig next year!! It was the bacon that did it.
