Processing party! update, we processed today.

ticks, I made a killing cone out of a 2 gal. bleach jug this time and it was the easiest killing I've ever done! It was big enough for my huge roo, yet perfect for the smallest hen also, as it presents the neck at just the right juncture.

One slice and the whole head came off...and my knives aren't the sharpest in the drawer....

No flopping, no mess on the feathers....it was wonderful. I'll never use the chopping block again.

I always wondered how the killing cone would keep them from no freaking out. Before we killed mine we dizzied them, then just a clean chop to the head.
