Prosecuted for growing Veges

*blink blink* i find myself more and more dismayed by the state of our world...

from what i can gather the problem is NOT selling his prduce...but growing it on a lot zoned for some agricultural but not others...

i just cant understand why growing veggies should be such a problem?! ugh.
i hope people make enough of a stink about this that that poor guy doesnt have to pay the ridiculous fines and gets to grow his veggies...and that others in the area are allowed to as well...

if your allowed to grow grass you should be allowed to grow anything as long as its not an illegal substance...

whats next, laws that state what color flowers your allowed to grow, or what kind of grass seeds to plant...or what colors i can paint the walls IN my house...*sigh*

If you start digging through State and local laws you will find all kinds of plants that are illegal to plant or even allow to exist on your land. Red currents are outlawed In NC since they can host a pest that can wipe out some pine trees (I think it is White pines) If you read seed catalogs there are often notations that such and such seeds can not be sent to certain states. Morning glory comes to mind for several states. Sometimes there is a good reason sometimes not.

oh i absolutly understand that aspect of things...
especially for highly invasive species ect...

but in this case? not so much.
