Although this sounds horrible and I hope you find an answer soon.

I just thought I would throw in a little truthful FYI, in hopes to get a smile... Most guys fear lotions, almost as much as they do lip gloss.

Casual observation: While doing hospice care for my Dad, I noted this: Even though he was often dehydrated, his lips remained moist and supple. While, when ever I am facing the least bit of a cold, or exposure to weather, my lips turn into a parched desert. I wonder if the difference is b/c men have tougher skin there b/c they are not always moisturizing them? Could be an individual thing: Hubby ALWAYS has a chap stick in his pocket,,, and I'm always borrowing it.

I always have chapstick with me but rarely use it. Only when my lips are actually dry which is only once a week or so. Hubby will ask for it if he's having issues. It's just cocoa butter, coconut oil, and beeswax. It's kept in my pocket so it's soft enough to use when needed.

It's probably make up preventing the oil from the surrounding skin making it's way onto the lips that effects women. Some people just have dry lips. Mom has that issue. She doesn't really produce any oil anymore.

I've always been prone to dry lips. Never been a makeup wearer.
