nutraMetrix makes a super-antioxidant mixture called nMx OPC-3 and taken in multiple doses per day will reduce or eliminate psoriasis and excema. Omega III's (start with 1000 mg combined EPA/DHA and increase to bowl tolerance and taken until symptoms subside, then reduced gradually back towards 1000 mg daily, until the perfect dose is found) and aloe juice (taken internally, 4 oz per day of 150% strength) also helps. I have seen people with bad cases for decades get relief within 3 months or so, usually some indication that it will work for them within two weeks. I have seen many cases go into complete remission.

I would be happy to connect anyone's doc with information. ;)
Is the nutraMetrix a perscription? Or something that can be gotten over the counter?
It is a line of supplements, with the highest bioavailability on the market, that is available only through licensed health professionals. My doctor solved several of my long-term health issues with some of these products, and I was so enthusiastic about them, I decided to become a consultant. So although I can and do offer them to my own clients, I prefer that people I don't know get them from their own health professional, so they can keep a close eye on the patient and be aware of contraindications (rare) and cautions (rare but there with certain meds.) I can get info for anyone's doctor on the benefits of adding wellness programs to their practice. It just takes a brief (ten minutes?) conversation on the phone with the doc to get the ball rolling. I'd be happy to help your friend make that happen.

Thank you everyone. My friend had a chance to get onto a computer today and read this thread for herself. :) She can't do the sun thing as with her meds being exposed to the sun will blister her in 10 mins. but, she is going to try some of the other things suggested. Hopefully, one of them will work for her! :fl

"Bag Balm" used on cows' udders, ( active ingredient8-hydroxyquinoline sulphate0.3% in a petrolatum, lanolin base, antiseptic)) This one is made by Dairy Association Co., Rock Island , Quebec.
My husband developed a patch of psoriasis on his leg a few years back. Bag Balm has been the only thing that works in making the patch smaller and keeping it smooth and healed up. Remember to use it regularly, as the condition worsens again if it dries up. It's great for any sores or skin conditions on your pets and even for folks. Farmers' hard working hands really soften up using it overnight.

Sun lamp and wash affected area with coal tar soap/shampoo. You can get coal tar soap at most grocery stores. Sun lamps are availabe at various sites on the internet, Try e-bay. The advantage to using a sun lamp is that you can direct the lamp to the affected area only and it's available 24 hours a day for you to use at your convenience.

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease. If the Primary care physician is not able to get psoriasis into remission, then a Dermotologist or Rheumatologist should be consulted.

Wikipedia has a good entry about psoriasis-

I have bad ecsema on my hands, all year round. My doctor finally gave me some cream, that I later checked- they were steroids. I used them for a week when the ecsema was really bad. It cured it but the ecsema came back. I did not want to keep using steroids.

We bought this all natural cream, called Flexital Psoriasis ecsema cream, bought it at Wal Mart actually.

it smells very earthy, I love it. Unlike other creams I used, it absorbed quickly and I cant feel it on my hands in the morning. As a contact user- that was a big deal. It's very mud like in texture. I cant say enough good about this cream, I love it. My ecsema is almost gone and thats just with one application a day!

I have also heard that cutting back milk helps.

I've developed the same issue on my hands and probably got the same prescription from my doctor. I'll look for that Flexital. Thanks.
