My 3 year old has been puking ever since he got up from a long nap. He didn't eat lunch, he ate one bite of dinner and started puking again. He looks terribly skinny and white. His temp was 97.2 - after an hour of curled up with a blanket and a rice heat bag. He is puking up bile/spit every 15 - 30 minutes.

We are not sick. He is interested in stories, doing puzzles. He just got up and is getting his crayons out for coloring. He's a little subdued.

But so pale! :( I want to feed the poor kid! Am I overreacting momma? Should I call the clinic nurse line? What would you do?

Give him some salted crackers and water and see if he can hold it down. If not, and he was mine...he'd be headed to ER. Babies/little ones dehydrate FAST and that is so hard on their little system. The salt should sooth the stomach a bit so crackers as much as he can eat and water, no juice or milk.

Try sprite instead of water. I cant keep water down if I get sick..........

He went to go brush his teeth, and I gave him some weak Gatorade to sip. Now he is sitting at the table and asking what is for supper. I gave him 5 crackers :/ We need a worrywort smilie. :(

If he keeps crackers down, how long do I have to wait to give him more to eat?

The sugar in there isn't helpful. I'm with WBFree.

I read some on babycenter.com and it doesn't sound like an Urgent Care or ER visit unless he is still puking tomorrow. I'm worried about him being cold and dehydrated.

He just had a solid poo. I think he had a tummy cramp because he started to whimper (like he's gonna puke) and I rush in there and says he feels funny but he's not going to puke. I thought it would be diarrhea, but no. And now he is cheerful again.

I told him to SIP the gatorade. I look away and the whole 1 cup is gone. :he

I read that chamomile, peppermint, or ginger tea is good. He loves tea (no sugar)... but I only have fruit herbal teas. Would that be better than 1/2-strength gatorade?

He just said he feels good. His cheeks have a little pink in them now and he is working on the crackers.

Just read AAP now recommends going back to regular diet asap after vomitting, not doing BRAT. Good deal. I think I will keep him up late trying to get fluid, maybe food into him.
