He just said he feels good. His cheeks have a little pink in them now and he is working on the crackers.

Just read AAP now recommends going back to regular diet asap after vomitting, not doing BRAT. Good deal. I think I will keep him up late trying to get fluid, maybe food into him.
:woot The little ones are sooooo resilient... :)

I'm glad to hear he's feeling better! A very small one I worry about dehydration.

Personally, I don't like Gatorade-style drinks, as they can actually upset the balance in the body. It's hard to know what's best in every situation though.

I like some form of ginger, especially, on a nauseated stomach. Other herbs can be helpful too, but ginger has always been the best for me. I used to keep ginger snaps (REAL ginger snaps, not what usually passes for them) and ginger ale (ditto on the "real" part) on hand for just such times. If he likes ginger tea that would be good, IMO. (Unfortunately I am one of the folks who HATES the taste of ginger ... puts me in mind of something from pine sap sometimes ... unless I am using the powdered spice ... so I usually use capsules if not ginger snaps/ginger ale.)

I hope he just continues to improve. Kids do stuff like that to keep us on our toes. ;)

OMG!!!

:sick :sick :sick :sick :sick :sick :sick

He wasn't really eating the crackers...

My fiance keeps everything around. Forever and ever. The crackers were an unopened package, but no box. I have no idea how old they were, but they were RANCID!

:somad :somad :somad :somad :somad :somad :somad

I threw away all the crackers and made oatmeal for him. With a little salt on it. No sugar. He's almost done with it.

And he's telling me that he wants to get a tummyache "a different day" so he can have "lots of this special blue drink"

:love

I think we're good. He's acting like himself. Says he's feeling good. Wants more oatmeal. I told him we would wait until 9:00.

:ya

ETA: I forgot to say THANK YOU for helping keep this momma sane. :) Y'all are great. :)

I go from water to chicken broth. If those stay down I move on to he crackers. I do try to keep Pedialyte pops in the freezer. They are like ice pops and the kids love them.

MY 10yo had a bug last week. He barfed for 12 hours straight. Then cried because I made him have chicken & rice soup for dinner. He wanted to eat regular food.

Kids are crazy!! Glad hes ding better. Hang in there. :hugs

Natural gatorade: half cup water, tsp honey (not for babies, though), pinch of good sea salt, a squeeze of fresh lemon. Serve warm or cool, as often as desired.

Hey Free, why can't babies have the honey? I know I read it somewhere b4, but can't remember the reason.
