who else is decluttering

I have decluttered over the years and my house is as sparse as I thought it would ever be----but I hit my bedroom and purged again LOL

I got rid of a nice going away present from my computer programming job at CIGNA when I live in CT over 21 years ago LOL I thought why the hell do I keep this? So I had no answer other than it was a "horse" and I am a horse nut, but screw it, in the box to Goodwill.

I moved furniture in master and cleaned like mad, got rid of one end table on my side of the bed....I never use it....to Goodwill it goes.

Clothes, oh yes, one Hefty to garbage, one Hefty to Goodwill. Things I just don't wear and have no intention of wearing again lol

So I moved all furniture and vaccumed that DUST that always hides and WOW my butt is tired.......I just got a wild hair and went nuts in my bedroom lol now for new carpet and new paint and I will be done with that room for years to come lol

So who else is decluttering

I got that wild hair and am aiming on hitting Nicole's room next...yikes that kids room is loaded with baby toys and she is 5 now so those have to go NOW! :)

Who is out there working like a dog in the house right now lol

I decided long ago that I wasn't hanging on to baby stuff. I have a friend that struggles financially and her son is 1 yr younger than mine, so I give her anything she can use.

I was going to give her a potty seat my son deosn't need and my fiance flipped out just a little bit saying that we might need the kid stuff in the future.

:love

didn't know he was thinking of another little one. :ep :celebrate :th

Anyway, the little bathroom drawers are next on my decluttering. I can't handle junk laying around. My stuff has been stashed in an overnight bag since before I moved here! I'm taking over the drawers!

Top of the fridge is getting bad again too. :barnie

When I moved in, the second bedroom was a junk collection (good stuff too). We cleaned it out, put in a new floor, I decorated, and my son has a cute "cowboy" bedroom.

Okay, so who else thought we were going to hear a new diet method?

I've got to do the decluttering thing soon, but I'm waiting for cooler weather. Can't breath in this heat.

Our trash man ain't gonna be like'n me very much in the morning. I went on a mini rampage today, cleaning out a bunch of clutter from the basement and my shop. Now if I can just keep The Wife from digging into the trash tonight, I'll be golden. :D

I always have the declutter bug. Its just usually gets squashed.

So FC, when you finish yours, you are invited to my house for a small, ummm, cough, cough, vacation.

I had to have my house appraised last month. I took boxes of stuff to Am Vets. Now we are painting. I am probably going to try and load a couple more bags of toys up. I took a trash bag of little clothes to a niece last week. Don't need those any more.

:D

We are redoing floors. When we clear out a room to put in the new laminate, we have a rule nothing goes back in the room until it has been sorted, cleaned or trashed. Got the master bedroom and the den done. I still have a few things to go through and they are on the picnic table under an ez up :hide but for the most part I have done really well. Filled up a goodwill bag, 2 freecycle bags, and 2 30 gallon trash cans! :ep

I try to give away at least 5 items every weekend through Freecycle. I LOVE Freecycle!!! :thumbsup

It's amazing how much stuff you can accumulate if you don't watch out. Plus my dad just moved out of his house this summer so I've got a lot of his stuff to figure out what to do with, too. It's a lot of fun to pass it on to others who are excited about using it!

I like a clutter free house. My bedroom consists of a bed a dresser, a light to read by and a neat stack of books...that is it.

My living room is the same, I don't like things on surfaces such as magazines and knick-knacks. Books are fine, I have tons of books, but they are neatly stacked on bookshelves. Makes dusting a breeze.

My daughter, on the other hand, is a borderline hoarder compared to me. So every summer and every Christmas we completely de-clutter her room and donate it all to goodwill. I have no idea where all that stuff comes from!
