I CAUGHT ERNIE TRYING TO HOE THE CORN!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not kidding! He was out there, hoe in hand! The phone had rang, so I ran in the house to answer it, and it was my friend Resham calling me on her lunch break. We were discussing Friday's plans (she and her husband are coming over to help Becky and Me on Friday. In fact, Resham's hubby is going to mow!) and I walked back outside. JUST as she asked me, "How's Ernie?" I glanced over...and he's hoe in hand trying to hoe between the rows!

I ran over there, all the while I tattled to Resham on just what he was up to, snatched the hoe from him, that he tried to hide behind his leg, and I threatened to stick that hoe where the sun doesn't shine.

Where's that duct tape?????

So I hoed some of the garden so he wouldn't have the urge to go and do it. Resham told me not to kill myself trying to keep up with everything this week, and that they'll help me get done whatever we can get done on Friday.

She doesn't realize that just their coming to mow is help enough!

Then my step dad called, so I tattled on Ernie and the garden hoe to him...he gave Ernie a talking to!

Now I'm tattling on him to all my friends here....I figure someone will come help me hog tie him down! LOL

I did manage to get two holes dug for posts and one post in the ground yesterday for the new pens, when I suddenly realized I have this heavy red former woodbox soon to be coop that has to go IN the pens....and well, I have to get it IN the pen before I build the pen. I mentioned that to Resham, too, and she said we'll figure it out on Friday, since I can't move the thing by myself.

I'll just you and you'll be G-O-N-E! As you know, I very seldom remove anyone from the will, but I do it on occasion.

Dace, it's really killing him to not get out there. This is truly the best garden we've had in the 5 years that we've been planting here. It's killing him not to be out there in it.

He is relaxing watching the weather now.

How's he going to milk Blossom if he doesn't get that back better? Give him a comfy chair next to the garden and let him criticize how YOU are hoeing....that might help!
