Oh I don't have 3 pages of stuff to write up. Nothing really interesting happened here in the last two weeks!

OH, I have phone and internet again! WHOOHOO!!

Tomorrow, my flock is being NPIP tested and in two weeks, I should receive my certificate in the mail! Whoohoo! and since tomorrow is my birthday, I think the NPIP testing is a GREAT b-day and xmas gift combined! I'll be able to ship LIVE CHICKS!! I hadn't thought about doing that, but when the guy told me that was a possibility once I'm NPIP certified, I've been giving it some thought!!!

Means I'll definitely be closing my flock doors and any purchases I do make will be from NPIP clean flocks and of hatching eggs or new chicks only (um maybe, possibly, um we'll see). Course, he also said if I buy a bird or birds from someone not NPIP to just give him a call and he'll come out and test the new birds!

Oh, and how's this for bragging rights??

He was tagged in yesterday at 1:30 pm as a 10 point, but he is actually an 11 pointer. 20 inches across on rack width.

And, I think that's about all the exciting news around here.

he's up at the taxidermy/butchers right now for processing of the meat and to have the shoulder mount.

Mount won't be done until April. He's the second biggest that was tagged in so far in our county. They didn't tell me how big the biggest one checked in was, but we've seen a LOT of bucks tagged in this year. This morning someone tagged in a gorgeous 8 pointer with a perfect rack!
