Cold is on the Right, Hot is on The Left
We're still in the midst of Snow-mageddon here, and our room addition is just humming a long!
It doesn't look like much now, still lots of finishing to do on the inside, but the outside is done enough that we've been able to light up the woodburner! My dear better half has been working almost non-stop the last couple days to get it closed in and set up so we could take out the adjoining wall that leads to the main part of the house.
Here's a before pic of the wall - this was taken before we actually moved in -
Now, remember, it's construction in progress - so it's rough and looks messy...but here's what it looks like right now.
And this is a shot from earlier, when we first started taking out the wall, but you can kind of see the interior of the add-on. Don't mind the mess, we've got a lot of cleaning to do!
We're recycling some of the insulation out of the old trailer into my coop walls where my feed and chick brooders are. Then we're going to cover the insulation with the pieces of plaster we took out of that wall area in the new house. Plus I have a couple pieces of new panelling we got on the damaged rack at Lowe's for $1 to go on another wall.
And E drew out a new coop plan for me today that we plan to start in the spring - and he's talking about insulating the walls in it, too, using insulation out of the old trailer. He said the chickens won't care if the insulation is old LOLOL Our old woodburner is going to be in there, too, so I'll have steady heat in my coop next winter.
