Lovin' The Homestead
I grew up in a cockatiel household, anti-finch. Now that I have a breeding male I hate cockatiels!! He's so annoying, cherish your female I have 2 finches and I like them more then my cockatiel.
I wasn't impressed with her pic of the Amish Boy.BeccaOH said:I wasn't impressed with her one FB pic of one of the cows. I didn't know they were Holsteins, so I'm glad you didn't do the trade.
You sure know how to make a week sound busy, though with car issues and such, you were probably busier than it even look here.
Glad show and tell went well.
My mom had a male named Korkie. He was awesome! He taught my parakeet to talk.. so both birds said "Korkie's a good bird" constantly!Farmfresh said:We have an old cockatiel named Corky. We all love him.
We have had him since he was about a year old. He was a rescue from an old woman with Alzheimer's who used to throw things at his cage, and beat on it when he bothered her. He can talk and still says "Corky is a preeetty bird" that sounds just like a very old woman's voice. He also whistles several songs. Our Corky is terrified to leave his cage. We worked with him for about three years trying to get him more comfortable outside of it - even placing his open top cage right beside the dining table for a year. He would NEVER leave the cage.
Corky is an OLD man these days. He was a '92 hatchling according to his leg band, which makes him 19 years old this year!!
People! Glad you were able to hold your tongue, but that does let you know a bit more about that person doesn't it?Quail_Antwerp said:I talked to her on the phone this morning, and she actually asked if WE brought them to her house. I was like, "brought who?" to which she replied, ok you know nothing about it then.
