Lovin' The Homestead
I definitely agree with Paula, this is a formula that I would use if I needed to.
I totally understand everyones points, but I think that Paula also knows that risks. I believe she is using milk from her own goats, and most people who are actually daily drinking their own milk will take a lot of measures to make sure their milk is clean and healthy. I know I do and my milk is going to my 85 yo grandmother.
I test my animals every year to make sure they are disease free. I feed them natural healthy diets which keeps them disease free, I keep really clean pens, make sure I wash and disinfect everything used in milking and put them milk right away in the freezer for an hour to cool it rapidly and then I put it in the fridge.
I am fully confident that my milk is perfectly safe. It was safe for thousands of years until we started modernizing things and feeding the animals foods that were never meant to be eaten by those animals, pumping them full of toxins, because now that they are eating something they were never intended to eat, they have health problems. It's no wonder modern milk has a past history of disease.
Give the animal it's God intended food, stop pumping it full of chemicals, keep everything clean and sanitized and you have no issues.
BTW there is never any poo in my milk because of the measures I take.
