Last night I made a "Sauteed Brussel Sprout Salad". Here is the recipe from Epicurious.com It is a quick recipe. Once you take the leaves off the sprouts that is.

Trader Joe's had some great Brussel Sprouts on the stalk for only $2.99!!! They were wonderful.

My husband HATES Brussel Sprouts and he asked for seconds of this recipe!!

Here are the Brussel Sprouts on the stalk. It was over 2ft tall!

See how big the sprouts are?

I bought one of those last week or so! When you pull off the "sprouts" that thing will look like a giant green spine. Really cool!

(You got a better deal on your b. sprout tree than I did. :/ )

Thanks for sharing the recipe!

My plants are about 6" high, no stems in sight yet.

I make brussels sprouts hash which I kinda like. Fry bacon, add onions and chopped brussels sprouts, season. Eat !!!!

I do not like brussels sprouts, and I'm not afraid to admit it. :tongue :sick
I have CSA customers who used to say the same thing, until they had them fresh. Can you find some super fresh?

Plus, most people have bady memories of the sulfuric taste/smell of overcooked brussels sprouts. The ONLY way I make them is to roast in the oven after drizzled with oil or to pan fry them--exceptionally good with carrots, onions and garlic. Give it one more try, pretty please?!?

Oh, ok. Just cuz I like you so much, I will give them one more try. :)I must admit, though, that my dad bit into one once and it was full of bugs. I think that was the last time my mom cooked them, and I made them once about 15 years ago. Hubby didn't like them either, so I just didn't buy them again.
