Hi, I absolutely love my All-American Pressure canner, and would not buy any other brand now that I have had one. They are very well made, and the fact that they do not require a rubber seal is a huge bonus.
I would take into consideration how easy the parts are to get for any type of pressure cooker, and factor in how much the cost of parts is when making a decision. Also, the cooker has to fit onto the size stove you have (and if you have a glass top stove, this is an issue for larger cookers).
I bought my cooker on eBay second hand, and then purchased a new vent and weight for it - even with that expense and postage to Australia (which cost about as much as the pressure cooker itself!) I think it was worth it. I am looking at buying both a smaller and larger model in addition to what I have, I use it so much I can see myself having a couple on the go at the same time!
